Ever since Sterling Vineyards produced the first vintage-dated Merlot, in 1969, the winery has been committed to crafting wines that express its vineyards with true varietal character.
About Sterling Vineyards
For forty years Sterling Vineyards has been a beacon for wine lovers.
Perched 300 feet above the town of Calistoga, Sterling Vineyards offers panoramic views of Napa Valley. Sterling Vineyards offers a one-of-a-kind aerial tram which carries visitors up the hill to the winery, whose architecture was modeled after that of the Greek island of Mykonos. After the breathtaking views from the gondola, guests can expect to be greeted with a glass of wine to accompany them on their stroll through Sterling Vineyards’ art galleries, beautiful outdoor terraces and elegant tasting rooms.
Walkways, balconies, and motion-sensitive DVD screens allow guests to take a self-guided tour of Sterling Vineyards’ winemaking facilities including the winery’s eight historic bells cast in 1700 from London’s Church of St. Dunstans-in-the-East, originally founded in the 10th century.
Sterling Vineyards offers more than a dozen different varietals, so there’s something for every taste—from dry to sweet, from light Pinot Gris to hearty Zinfandel.
