Castello di Amorosa
About Castello di Amorosa
Rising above the hills in the Napa Valley is Castello di Amorosa, which translates to the “castle of love” in Italian. Castello di Amorosa boasts an authentic-styled, 13th century Tuscan castle-winery and is surrounded by 170 acres of forest and hills, with a stream and a lake.
Enter the Castello’s large brick gates and roam with your group through the castle, complete with medieval painting recreations, or adventure on a guided tour followed by a tasting in the winery’s private tasting bar. Live like kings and queens with their Royal Food and Wine Pairing Tour, recognized by Fordor’s Travel 2015 as “among Wine Country’s Best.”
Castello di Amorosa produces wines truly representative of the world’s great wines, while specifically reflecting California’s unique climate and growing conditions. The wines are classically structured, delicious and showcase the unique characteristics of their individual “Terroir,” or vineyard site. In this way, guests can experience the flavor and aromas of the vineyard itself. The winery is committed to using traditional approaches to the craft of wine growing and wine making, but also incorporates modern techniques and equipment when it improves quality.
The winery’s Italian-style wines include: Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, Rosato di Sangiovese, Gewurztraminer and “Dolcino” Gewurztraminer, Sangiovese, Merlot, Cab/Merlot Blend, Cabernet Sauvignon, La Castellana Reserve Super Tuscan Blend, Il Barone Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, Moscato Canelli, La Fantasia Red Wine, Il Passito Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon and Late Harvest Reserve Gewurztraminer.
